Happy Fringe

Build a workable Edmonton Fringe schedule from the shows you want to see and the time you have available.

Pick the shows you would hate to miss, mark the days you are actually free, and Happy Fringe lays out a plan for the Edmonton Fringe. It counts the walking time between venues and works around whatever is already in your calendar, so the schedule it produces is one you could physically attend.

What it does

  • Turns picked shows and available days into a scheduled plan
  • Allows travel time between venues rather than assuming teleportation
  • Flags conflicts before the day arrives
  • Starts from ready-made weeks if you want a shape to edit: a festival sampler, easy evenings in Old Strathcona, family matinees under sixty-five minutes, or late-night comedy
  • Saves everything in the browser, with passkey sign-in to reach a draft from another device

There is also an example that marks every show in the program as must-see and schedules the entire festival back to back. Nobody attends a week like that; it is there to show where the ceiling is, and it takes the planner the better part of a minute to work out.

The site does not sell tickets and has no connection to Fringe Theatre, which runs the festival. Show times and prices come from the published schedule, so the box office remains the authority. This is only a planning tool for the annual problem of there being more theatre than there is August.
